Since I will be upgrading this blog fromWordpress 1.1x to 1.5, there may be some interuptions in this site which may look horrible for a while. I don’t have the time to fix any problems that occur (and I do expect problems). So, I’m sorry for the interuptions. I plan on this taking no longer than one week.
ONE WEEK?! you say? Yes. I don’t have the time in my daily schedule to spend upgrading the core workings of this site. It’s relatively low on the totem pole since it’s just my own personal blog. However, I expect a maximum of a one week turnaround time. Hopefully it will pay off in the end. If you find any bugs in the workings of the site after that, please either email me or make a comment on this post to let me know what’s wrong.
Secondly, I plan on adding a photoblog to this site soon. Since we have the Treo 650 which has a pretty snazzy camera on it, I thought it would be fun to moblog/photoblog some of the more interesting things I come across during my waking hours. Don’t expect too much, cause most of my days are spent at a computer working. But, I do hope the moblog/photoblog will be updated probably more often than this blog is.
Third[ly], after the moblog is put up, I plan on updating this site’s looks. I grabbed a template from someone to make this thing look nicer than the default, but it’s still not anywhere close to par. I’ve had my mind on some new looks, so we’ll see where that takes us. Don’t expect this to be quick. I’m just letting you know what’s in my head right now.
Speaking of what’s in my head…. go check out the Fight Night Forums. They are starting to pick up a bit with some very interesting posts. The latest session info should be up by Wednesday at the latest (hopefully Monday night).
UPDATE: Ok, so apparently (I didn’t check prior to upgrading) there’s a new default theme for Wordpress 1.5, and to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.5, you have to delete all the old files and upgrade the database. This being said, welcome to the new look for now. It’s nicer than my template I found for 1.2, so that’s good. But, obviously some of my plugins and extras I had on the old site aren’t with us for now. I’ll have to see if some of them work in the new version.. so just hold your horses. Plus, the layout doesn’t quite do what I want it to do with the images I use with many of my posts, so I’ll have to fix that too. Otherwise, let me know what you think.
