My New Title: Business Strategist

So I met with Don at Accelitec today (great people, btw). He and I talked a bit about RFID and where we might be able to mutually benefit each other’s business models.

During our dialogue, the question came up about what makes me tick. On the spot, I mentioned that I loved the innovation that has come out of 10 years of web development. However, I’d rather move into the business management side of things. Unfortunately, there’s no job title that I’ve ever heard of called a “Business Strategist.” I believe people just call us consultants, but that’s such a vague term.

So, from today forward, I will be giving myself the title “Business Strategist.” A game of chess with business resources and limits. Where to go next, when to go there. That’s the kind of mind games I love to play, especially when we win.
