So, I was thinking about how I was unable to come up with small simple ideas and execute them for the past two days. It’s depressing really. So, I’ve come up with my justification for why I can’t do this project right now.

• I only have 4 hours out of each day to “do” something.
• Part of those 4 hours must be spending time with family.
• The leftover parts of those hours are usually left for maintenance of current projects/businesses.
• So, I’m quitting this project for now and refocusing any incremental effort I have on a few things that are already moving along, rather than starting new little ideas
  1. Perfect Space: there’s a lot still to do here, like figuring out how to change the entire classifeds business model…. that should keep me busy
  2. Duh Gallery: This little project has gained more momentum than I originally thought it would. I’d like to continue helping it develop into something better because I feel like there’s still a need out there. Many of the features that have been requested are awesome ideas, and I really do want to build them into the plugin.
  3. Unannounced Non-profit: This one is kicking my butt because I really do want to spend a lot of time on it, but it’s in partial development by another person who just hasn’t been quick enough at making the changes we want to get the site up and running. So, I feel like I need to do it myself and get the site done.

So, with those three projects moving along at a snails pace, I’m refocusing. Rather than spend 30 days coming up with new ideas, I’m going to be persistent in the ones I already have, and execute those properly. It was going to be the next step after the 30 Day Exec project, but I’m ambitious. So, whatever.
