Update: I've given up on this project too. It took a ton of time, yielded almost no results, and actually... that book is pretty boring.

So, instead, I'm working on a new project that is way more fun, has other people jabbing each other to keep working on, and is a much better read.

Yea, I am still working the details out with the CNAME stuff. Since I don't have the ability to have wildcards in my dns, I need to figure out another way. I was thinking subdomains would be pretty easy to do using some .htaccess hacking. I just haven't worked on that much yet.

I've thought about purchasing cheap adwords to send people to the sites, which is by definition the arbitrage part. But, for starters I'm going to see how they do without purchasing anything. Why buy when you can sometimes get the traffic for free.

So, for now, I'm just going to focus on transposing a few books. If I am not getting much traffic by the time I'm done with my third book, I might try purchasing some traffic. We'll see.

Thanks for the comment David.

Hey Nate,

I think this idea rocks -- it makes sense. I noticed that you are using wordpress MU. If you play around with the CNAME properties, I think that you can establish dedicated URLs instread of using a sub-directory for the name. I'm no arbitrage expert, but I'm assuming that you'll start purchasing cheap adwords to send people to your adsense -- that's how you'll make cash off the spread. Keep the great ideas coming!
