If you hadn’t noticed yet, we released My Eventful today. There’s still some minor things to clear up, but overall, I think it’s a nice step in the right direction - both in design and functionality.
While looking around, I noticed the Community Next conference at Stanford on Feb 10th. It looks like an amazing conference, and it makes me happy that it’s on a Saturday. Finally a conference that isn’t in the middle of the week.
I also noticed Guy Kawasaki is going to be presenting. I certainly want to be there for that. I almost invited him to my birthday party the other day, just for kicks. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about it until afterwards. That’s what happens when you turn 30 I guess.
Anyway, the conference looks to be packed with some heavy hitters in terms of community gurus. The only guy who’s not going that I wish was would be Derek Powazek. Others going are the guys from Threadless, Hi5, and Kiva (whom I’ve talked about before).
If you’re going, give me a shout. I’d love to hook up with ya and talk about community. As you can see, I’m quite fond of doing that. I’m even fonder of doing that over beer.
