Interns, a Moneyless Developer’s Best Friend

Today was our intern’s first real day on the job. I sat him down, gave him a good talking to about the importance of his position with us, and began to teach. He doesn’t have any PHP skillage quite yet, so he’s learning as we go. I gave him 3 tasks to complete before I’d let him touch our testbed. Then, today, he came over and I gave him another task. This time, he worked directly withour database and the in the testing environment. Everything worked out ok. He created a nice little search box and edited the search function for our control panel so that our clients can search through the hundreds of properties they have for that one they need to edit. It’s much quicker than our earlier versions.

Nice job Mr. Intern!
