Treo 650 Google Maps (KMaps)

If you have a Treo 650 and hate the fact that you can’t use google maps on it, fret no longer. Ivan Mitrovic has created an app called KMaps, and from what I can see so far, it’s wonderful.

P.S. One requirement you’ll need is Java for your Palm.

Nate Ritter lives in the Pacific Northwest (U.S.), popularized the #hashtag and creates web applications for a living. He also does miles and point hacking to enable cheap travel for his family. More here →

Do you possess a pre-v.1.5 version of KMaps? I’m looking for preferably something like v. 1.4.x. I regret upgrading KMaps as time went on and the 1.5 versions and beyond lost the ability to save and retrieve large maps except from memory cache which is extremely inconvenient. I’m afraid the developer started to make KMaps overly fancy with all sorts of ‘bells and whistles’ and forgot it was a basic, usable map program.

I would be forever in your debt if you still have the .zip file for one of these earlier versions.

    Many thanks….Richard….

Unfortunately, I don’t have my 650 anymore, so no. I wish I did though. But, I can’t leave T-Mobile’s service.. they are too good up here in Bellingham, WA.

If I had one, I’d send it to ya man. Sorry.
