Writers: Your new workspace

theOffice Niall Kennedy writes about a new workspace called “theOffice” in Santa Monica.  The business model is the familiar subscription model (which I absolutely love), just like your local gym, but in this case, rather than working your biceps, you can work your fingers and brain.

The photos of this place look great, and I have to agree with Niall’s suggestions about having lockers to keep your pens and notebooks in overnight.

Personally, if I were going to franchise anything, I think it would be this.  Finding the perfect location would be the trick.

Nate Ritter lives in Austin, Texas (U.S.), popularized the #hashtag and creates web applications for a living. He also does miles and point hacking to enable cheap travel for his family. More here →
